The best L-Mount lenses
There are now about 150 native full-frame L-Mount lenses, made by the three founding partners of the L-Mount Alliance, Leica, Panasonic and Sigma, plus autofocus lenses from Samyang, Viltrox, Sirui and 7Artisans and manual-focus glass from Laowa and 7Artisans. Any of them fits a Leica SL, Panasonic Lumix S or Sigma fp or BF body. This guide picks the strongest option for each common need, plus cheaper, lighter and third-party alternatives when they come close.
Sigma makes a third of these lenses and wins most of the categories below. Because Sigma also builds L-Mount cameras, this guide counts it with Leica and Panasonic, and its third-party picks come from the other brands.
