Laowa 55mm f/2.8 Tilt-Shift 1X Macro (Canon RF)

Laowa's 55mm is a tilt-shift lens that also focuses to true 1:1, a niche the big camera makers have largely overlooked for mirrorless bodies. It has ±10° of tilt and ±12mm of shift, the mount rotates 360° in 15° clicks, and the tilt and shift units can each be turned 90° independently, so the movements can be set in almost any combination. The image circle also covers medium format with shift reduced to ±8mm.

The 62.7° view suits product and food work, landscapes with tilted focus planes, and stitched shift panoramas; rotating the camera on the supplied Arca-Swiss foot keeps the lens fixed and avoids parallax. It focuses internally down to 27cm, takes 77mm filters and has a 15-blade aperture. The cost is bulk: about 1.35kg and 168.5mm long, with no electronic contacts.
