Viltrox AF 40mm F2.5 Air L (L-Mount)

A small, inexpensive everyday prime from Viltrox's Air line, now in a native L-Mount version. At 169g and 52.5mm long it suits compact bodies like the Lumix S9, and its 40mm view sits between a classic 35mm and 50mm for street, travel and lifestyle work.

Ten elements in six groups include one ED, three high-refractive-index and one aspherical element. A lead-screw STM motor gives internal focusing with eye and face detection down to 0.34m (0.14x), and Viltrox claims minimal focus breathing for video. The barrel has only a focus ring; there is a coated front element, a metal mount, a USB-C firmware port and 52mm filters.
