Viltrox MF 20mm F1.8 ASPH Z

Reviewers found the centre sharp from f/1.8 and the frame evening out by f/4 to f/5.6, with soft extreme corners, heavy vignetting and some coma wide open. Distortion is moderate, and colour fringing is reasonably controlled given the price.

Testers like the dense metal build, the damped focus ring and the long, readable distance scale for hyperfocal work. The lack of electronics and the 782g weight are the main criticisms, and flare resistance with bright light sources is only average.

Owners call it a good-value astro and travel lens and say the build feels like a much more expensive manual lens. The 82mm filter thread and the hood that stores reversed get positive mentions.

Complaints focus on the weight for a 20mm, missing EXIF data and corner softness wide open. Users who swap between bodies note the focus throw is long for fast street shooting.
