Optical character
The AF 35mm F1.4 Pro completes Viltrox's f/1.4 Pro trio alongside the 50mm and 85mm. It is a full-frame 35mm f/1.4 with a 0.3m minimum focus distance and 0.18x magnification, aimed at street, documentary and environmental portrait work where a fast, close-focusing wide standard is useful.
The 16-element, 11-group design includes three ED, four HR and two UA elements, and focus is handled by Viltrox's HyperVCM motor with an internal focusing system. The metal, weather-sealed body has an aperture ring that can be set to click or de-click, an AF/MF switch and a customisable Fn button, plus a USB-C port for firmware updates. It takes 77mm filters and weighs about 780g on Nikon Z.
